Spring Is a Time of New Beginnings at Trillium Woods
At Trillium Woods, Plymouth’s premier senior living community, spring is in full bloom — and with it comes a season of renewal, connection, and anticipation. As gardens awaken and the community welcomes future neighbors, there’s an unmistakable energy in the air.
A Celebration of Flowers and Nature
Whether seasoned gardeners or flower enthusiasts, residents have enjoyed a variety of springtime activities centered around the beauty of nature. During a scenic outing to Malmborg’s Garden Center, residents hand-selected vibrant annuals and planters to brighten their balconies, patios, and decks. Their purchases were delivered directly to their homes for added convenience.
A trip to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum dazzled attendees with over 40,000 blooms — including tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, lilies, bluebells, magnolias, and lilacs — while an Active Adventure outing led by the fitness team offered hiking and exploration through the forested trails and wetlands of Springbrook Nature Center.
The Trillium Woods Garden Club is also in full swing. What began with one resident’s wish to continue gardening has blossomed into a thriving community project. With raised beds, a new watering system, and creative accessibility solutions, members plant vegetables and flowers each spring, bringing beauty and camaraderie to the campus.
“It is so pleasant to have a reason to be outdoors in the sunshine,” says Garden Club Chair Dr. Michael Tan. “Nurturing the flowers and vegetables I am growing brings daily joy.”
Even beyond the garden beds, Trillium Woods is bursting with botanical beauty. A new landscaping firm has transformed the 46-acre campus with colorful plantings and thoughtful design. “The effect is joyful, elegant, and serene. Very spring-like!” says Linda Stanton, Director of Marketing.
New Neighbors Join the Fun
That spirit of renewal extends to future residents as well. With the expansion opening this fall, many are already becoming part of the Trillium Woods community. This spring’s Resident Vendor Fair welcomed 22 local vendors offering services from pet care to moving and interior design — helping new and future residents connect with local resources and each other.
The Ladies Spring Luncheon, expanded from a traditional Mother’s Day theme to include all women in the community, brought together 95 guests, including 10 future residents. Featured speaker Alison Young, the “Blissful Hiker,” delivered a moving talk on resilience, followed by a beautifully prepared luncheon and live harp performance by Andrea Stern.
At Trillium Woods, spring isn’t just a season — it’s a celebration of growth, possibility, and a vibrant lifestyle.
There’s still time to join this growing community. Just five homes remain in the expansion, including a rare and highly sought-after Maple two-bedroom plus den. A limited selection of Heritage homes is also available in the existing independent living neighborhood — ask about current incentives!
