Live Well Longer with New LCS Life+ Initiative at Trillium Woods

Live Well Longer with New LCS Life+ Initiative at Trillium Woods

What does living well look like to you?

Maybe it means feeling stronger and more confident on your feet. Maybe it’s sharing a meal with friends, discovering a new interest, making choices that support your health, or simply having the energy to keep doing more of what you love.

At Trillium Woods, wellness has always been personal. Now, the premier senior living community in Plymouth, Minn., is building on that commitment with the introduction of LCS Life+™, a personalized wellness lifestyle experience designed to help residents live well longer.

Created by LCS, Life+ recognizes that true wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all. Instead, it gives residents opportunities, resources, and support to pursue well-being in the ways that matter most to them.

Because whatever LCS Life+ experience you’re after, your plus is personal.

Four Pillars of Living Well

LCS Life+ is built around four key pillars — Connection, Movement, Nutrition, and Longevity — that work together to support whole-person well-being.

Connection recognizes the important role relationships, engagement, learning, purpose, and shared experiences can play in a fulfilling life. At Trillium Woods, that might mean getting involved in a resident group or committee, volunteering, attending lectures or performances, playing games, joining a club, or simply spending time with people whose company you enjoy.

Movement goes beyond exercise. It’s about maintaining the strength, balance, mobility, and confidence that help you continue doing the things you want to do. Residents can pursue movement in ways that fit their individual abilities and interests, whether that means walking, swimming, strength training, yoga, tai chi, or another favorite activity.

Nutrition focuses on making food part of both living well and enjoying life. LCS Life+ supports informed choices and nutrition-forward dining while recognizing that meals are also opportunities for pleasure, connection, and community.

Longevity takes a proactive approach to well-being, helping residents better understand their health and make choices today that can support their goals for the future.

Together, the four pillars provide a framework that can be adapted to each resident. LCS Life+ is designed to build on what’s already working, while introducing new possibilities, greater support, and personalized ways to enhance overall well-being.

Building on a Culture of Wellness at Trillium Woods

LCS Life+ is a natural enhancement to Trillium Woods’ already robust approach to health, happiness, and wellness.

The community offers individualized fitness support, group exercise, an indoor pool, walking and hiking trails, and opportunities ranging from aquacise to yoga and tai chi. Trillium Woods also has a dedicated health and wellness navigator who can help residents coordinate health services and connect with fitness and nutrition resources.

Just as importantly, residents have a voice in the programs and activities offered at the community. That emphasis on choice helps make wellness something residents can shape around their own interests, goals, and lifestyles.

LCS Life+ takes that philosophy even further. Whether someone wants to improve balance, become more active, meet new people, explore better nutrition, or learn more about their own well-being, the goal is not to prescribe a single path. It is to meet each resident where they are and help them move toward where they want to be.

Celebrating Life+ with a Week of Wellness

Life+ Event at Trillium Woods

Trillium Woods kicked off LCS Life+ with a special Week of Wellness & Well-Being full of events to help residents learn more, get moving, and experience the program firsthand.

Residents learned more about the new program during a special-edition JAM Session with Joe (Executive Director Joe Amend-Marshall).

Throughout the week, residents participated in the Million Step Challenge, working together toward an ambitious community goal of logging one million steps in five days. The challenge puts two LCS Life+ principles into action at once, combining movement with the motivation and fun that come from pursuing a goal together.

In addition to the community’s usual jam-packed schedule full of wellness opportunities, residents also participated in a day of special classes that included Barre Stretch, Zibrio Better Balance Club, and Movement Lab, an interactive wellness lecture exploring the many ways movement can support mood, stress management, cognition, confidence, energy, and social connection. These classes are also part of our fitness partner NIFS’ Move Your Mood initiative, which fits in nicely with the holistic nature of LCS Life+.

Discover Your Plus

Living well doesn’t have to mean completely changing the way you live. Sometimes it means building on what you already enjoy, trying something different, or getting a little more support in an area that matters to you.

At Trillium Woods, residents can choose the opportunities that are meaningful to them and create a wellness experience that reflects their own priorities.
