LEED Certification

LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. Trillium Woods' certification status means that the community is being built in accordance with rigid environmental standards. This is something that resident focus groups told us was important and we listened.

The benefits to the natural surroundings, habitats and eco-systems are significant, as are the energy and cost savings, increased efficiencies and decreased maintenance. But there's a more personal impact for residents too, including:

• Efficient thermal comfort controls.
  
• Non-toxic building materials.
  
• Low-E windows that let in natural light while screening out hazardous rays.
